We have been enjoying beautiful fall days in Wisconsin. The leaves are gorgeous.....I've almost driven off the road a couple of times gawking at the beautiful shades of yellow, gold, red and rust.
A Sand Hill Crane stopped by our beach the other day |
We went to our old stomping grounds in Freeport last weekend to see our God son Paul play football for Aquin. He plays offense and defense, so we got to see quite a bit of him at least for the first half of the game. Then they have this crazy rule where they don't stop the clock during the second half if one of the teams has 45 points... and Aquin had 50... the other team was able to score two touchdowns, and the second and third strings got a chance to play.
Paula and Anna snuggled together to stay warm |
This is the 2011 Aquin Football Team Paul is in there somewhere! |
On the way home we stopped to see this Moose, which i saw from the road between Orangeville and Cedarville. I thought it was in a cemetary, but it was actually in someone's yard, next to a small family cemetary -- the family was the Folgate Family and most of them died during the 18th and 19th centuries.
A closeup of the moose - who wasn't in such great shape... note the "bandages" on the legs and he had no eyes |
