January is a Long Month in Wisconsin

January 2012 was an eventful month for us.  I am adjusting to being a working woman again - and I am really liking being back in the work force.  (I am a library assistant at the Lester Public Library of Rome, where my duties include teaching people how to use e-readers, tablets, digital cameras and IPods.)  It has been a bit of a challenge learning to use these devices well enough to show others how to use them, but it has also been fun.  Once you use a touch screen, you never want to go back!

Annie came up to Madison to go wedding dress shopping with Mary Dale and decided to come up to watch the Packer game with us.  Something about the fact that we were having Mark's famous ribs for dinner seemed to make the trip worthwhile!
Annie comforting Stella - she was pretty upset with the way the Packer's played!

Even Gwennie got into the game

She likes to have a good vantage point to see all of the action

Mark's lap seems to be where she can get the best view of all of the plays
It hasn't been an especially cold or snowy winter... although we have had our grey, or as i like to call them black and white days.  Good thing the Blue Jays have been visiting our bird feeder, or I might think the world has gone black and white.  We have also had some blooming flowers in our window... which have added color and awe (I can't believe the plants are still alive, let alone blooming!)

I have been spending some of my free time working on my quilt... and I am happy to report that I reached the half-way point last week.  I am driving to St. Louis next week to leave the dogs with Annie while we go on our Catholic Cruise (we will be going to Saint Islands in the South Caribbean), so i hope to get some sewing done while I am there and Annie is sleeping.  I will stop at Mike and Meg's on my way back and celebrate George's second birthday.

The next time you visit the blog you'll be treated to scenery from outside of Wisconsin!
