The Dog Days of Summer

It's supposed to be hot at the end of August, but someone forgot to tell the weather gods.... today was a cold rainy day, so we went to the Dells.... Had lunch at the Moose Jaw

Last weekend Mark's coworkers came over for a get together

It was a bit chilly, but some of the kids did go in the water

And Mark made us a fire, although he had to resort to lighting it the "girl scout way"

Fun in the sun...

Our weekend started on Thursday when Betsy and Dick came to visit.... we relaxed by the beach, took a walk, let Mark cook us dinner and caught up on life

I finally got to use my 99 cent beer bugs which i had frosted in the freezer... Dick and Betsy were very impressed!

And Betsy has one of me taking a picture of her....it's a tradition! Dale's left on Friday morning and I had to run to Adams for the FAAC Market Day Delivery, and when I got home look who was waiting for me!

Saturday morning after breakfast and a walk, Captain Mark took us out for a boat ride....

And I enjoy trying to capture the moment! (Thank goodness we don't use film anymore.)
